WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS AFTER LEAVING SCHOOL?

We assist young people with pathways into further education, training or employment. 

Transition to Work is designed to assist young people who may have left school early, are struggling to find work, or want to explore career and education opportunities. The program provides intensive, pre-employment support to help participants develop practical skills, build confidence, and connect with local employers and community services. 

Eligibility

To participate, you must be aged 15 to 24 and meet certain criteria, which may include:

  • Holding an appropriate visa if not an Australian citizen
  • Having completed or partially completed Year 12 or equivalent qualifications
  • Receiving income support such as Youth Allowance
  • Not currently participating in another employment service dewr.gov.au+2
    Eligibility may also consider individual circumstances, including prior employment history and personal needs.
