WET Trades- Which one are you?

WET Trades- Which one are you?

Workshops

Northern Mallee Local Learning and Employment Network (NMLLEN) are proud to have partnered with Mildura Senior College, local trade business owners, and suppliers for the Wet Trades: ‘Which One Are You’ Workshops held at the Deakin Trade Training Centre.

Students from Mildura Senior College are introduced to a Wet Trade by a qualified local tradesperson (who is accompanied by their apprentice) to demonstrate the technical skills of the trade.

The employer also provides an insight into their career starting as an apprentice to becoming a qualified tradesperson whilst giving advice on employer expectations on commencement into the trade. Students attend the ‘Pathway to an Australian Apprenticeship’ presentations for each of the four trades, delivered by NMLLEN at the conclusion of each workshop.

NMLLEN are thankful to our local employers who are willing to share their industry knowledge and expertise by supporting this school–employer engagement initiative and Amanda Smith, Industry Engagement Coordinator, and Nick Goodieson, Workplace Transition Coordinator, Mildura Senior College for facilitating the WET Trade workshops.
